Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation surgery involves using breast implants increase the size of your breasts or restore breast volume that has been lost after weight reduction or pregnancy

Breast augmentation can:

  • Increase fullness and projection of your breasts
  • Improve the balance of your figure
  • Enhance your self-image and self-confidenc

Breast augmentation does not correct severely drooping breasts. If you want your breasts to look fuller and to be lifted due to sagging, a breast lift may be required in conjunction with breast augmentation.

Breast lifting can often be done at the same time as your augmentation or may require a separate operation.

The implant can be placed  A. Under the pectoral muscle (a submuscular placement), or B. directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle (a submammary/subglandular placement) The method for inserting and positioning breast implants depends on the type of implant, degree of enlargement desired.

A full range of high quality implants are available to suit all body size and shapes in order to achieve your desired outcome

Fat transfer breast augmentation

Fat transfer breast augmentation essentially uses liposuction to take fat from other parts of your body and inject it into your breasts.

This is an option for women who are looking for a relatively small increase in breast size and would prefer natural results. For best results two or more procedures may be required.

Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction

Reduction mammoplasty (also breast reduction and reduction mammaplasty) is the plastic surgery procedure for reducing the size of large breasts. Breast reduction surgery is carried out under general anaesthetic

There are several techniques the surgeon could use, but generally the operation involves:

• moving your nipple to its new position  – usually while it’s still attached to the blood supply

• removing excess fat, glandular tissue and skin from your breasts

• reshaping the remaining breast tissue

Most women are left with a scar around the nipple. With some surgical techniques, the scar will also run down vertically and horizontally across the breast crease (anchor-shaped), or just run down vertically to the breast crease.

Mastopexy (Uplift)

Mastopexy (Uplift)

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Sometimes the areola becomes enlarged over time, and a breast lift will reduce this as well.

A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted.

A woman’s breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. These changes and loss of skin elasticity can result from:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Weight fluctuations
  • Ageing
  • Gravity
  • Heredity

Breast lift surgery does not significantly change the size of your breasts or round out the upper part of your breast. If you want smaller breasts, consider combining breast lift and breast reduction surgery. For breast fullness a mastopexy can be combined with an augmentation as a single stage

Breast Asymmetry Correction

Breast Asymmetry Correction

It is very common to have a slight difference in the shape and size of your breasts. Other parts of our body are not symmetrical and this is also the case with breast tissue. In most cases this is mild and may not be severe enough to consider surgery. If you have a significant size or shape difference between your breasts known as breast asymmetry we can improve it with surgery. Treatment may include a breast uplift, reduction or enlargement.
A breast reduction and uplift of your larger breast A breast enlargement of your smaller breast. A breast uplift (mastopexy) on one or both of your breasts if your nipple is in a low position. Surgery to reduce the size of one or both of your areolas (the brown area around your nipple), For more minor adjustments lipofilling may be an option either as a stand alone procedure or in combination with other techniques.

Inverted Nipples

Inverted Nipples

Nipple inversion can often be corrected using conservative non surgical methods. In cases where conservative methods fail surgical solution is possible with minimal scarring.
